There will be mess, but that's ok. And don't do it in a hurry, you will stress out and so will they. Why not try making some homemade ice lollies?
These are always a favourite as kids can get messy chopping and mushing fruit, squeezing honey and stirring yogurt. Then pour into moulds, freeze then lick...Yum!Some more great ideas for little helpers...

Annabel Karmel MBE is a bestselling author and respected authority on child nutrition and cookery. Below she shares her tips on cooking with kids and how to get them eating fruit and vegetables!
Five a day..
It's important for children to eat 5 portions of fruit and vegetables a day, one portion for your child equals roughly what they can hold in their hand. An easy way to ensure fruit gets eaten is to make a smoothie.
Get involved...
Let your child help prepare fruit for smoothies and muffins. They will enjoy squeezing oranges, removing strawberry stalks and peeling easy fruit like bananas
Grow your own...
Why not grow some fruit with your child that way they will be more inclined to try them.
More tips and activities can be found
in Annabel's new book 'I Can Eat a Rainbow'.
